<p style="text-align: justify;"><b>Overtimed</b><br>&#8211;<br>Medium: Unity, C#, Clip Studio Paint<br>Created in: January 2022<br>Collaborators: Alexis N. | Philippe L. | Vincent C. | Steve C. | Julien B. | Cédric-Antoine O.<br><br>The game shown in this &#8220;trailer&#8221; was our entry and 3rd place winner for the 6th edition of the <i>Intercollégial de Création de Jeux Vidéo du CEGEP de Valleyfield</i>, a 45-hour game jam competition. My contribution consisted of making most of the pixel art and animations used in-game, as well as helping debug the code when needed. We wanted people to enjoy playing it again and again to try and beat their highest score and to find our game funny, in a somewhat satirical kind of way. Besides all of that, I wanted to participate in a game jam to see if I would enjoy it enough to want to do more of them in the future, as well as to experience working on a game with multiple people at the same time. I had a great deal of fun during this event and am quite proud of the result.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">This demo was created in about 1 month for a Computer Science CEGEP Program class as a final project; The goal of this project was to create a 3D game demo, with free reign of the theme and gameplay, using everything we had learned in class. Besides the HUD item icons and <a href="https://www.zettamarge.art/fantasy-plants-3d-models/">a few self-made 3D models</a>, all models, animations, etc. are free assets found on the Unity Asset Store, Sketchfab.com or Mixamo.com. All sounds are royalty-free sounds found on BigSoundBank.com. We picked this genre because I wanted to think of ways to code the various mechanics of a farming sim game, since I would like to eventually create a full game of this genre, and this was the perfect opportunity for it. My project partner and I also agreed to include some fantasy/mythological elements to the game to give it a fun twist, since most farming sim games I know generally only use real-life farm animals and plants. We wanted to create a little game concept that people would think of as fun and original.</p>
